Why might my payout be delayed?
A few common reasons your payout may take longer than expected:
Weekends — Bank Account payouts run Monday to Saturday. An order completed on a Saturday or Sunday won't be paid out until Monday.
Public holidays — If a payout day falls on a public holiday, settlement may be pushed to the next working day.
BVN or bank account verification issues — Your payout account needs a valid, verified BVN linked to your bank details. If verification fails or is incomplete, payouts to that account can be held up until it's resolved.
Incorrect or outdated bank details — If your account name, number, or bank has changed, settlements can fail until your details are corrected.
Occasional system-wide delays — On rare occasions, settlement delays can happen platform-wide due to processing issues with our payment partners. When this happens, we share updates and typically resolve it within the same day.
What to do if your payout hasn't arrived
If your payout hasn't reflected after the expected time:
Check your payout status on the dashboard first to confirm whether it's still pending or has been processed.
If you're on Bank Account payouts and it's been longer than one business day, or if you're on Wallet and a completed order hasn't credited your wallet, reach out to Chowdeck support at [email protected].

Frequently Asked Questions
Why haven't I received a payout for an order that was cancelled?
Payouts are only made for completed orders. If an order was cancelled, no settlement is generated for it. If you believe you should have been compensated for a cancelled order (for example, if you had already prepared it), please contact support with the order details.
Do payouts get processed on weekends or public holidays?
Payouts are processed Monday to Saturday. Orders completed on a Saturday or Sunday are paid out on the following Monday, and a public holiday may push this out further.
