When a customer completes an order at your store, the order amount is settled to your Chowdeck account. Here's how it works:
By default, settlements are paid to your Chowdeck Wallet.
You can switch your payout preference to Bank Account in your vendor dashboard if you'd rather receive settlements directly to your bank on the next business day, instead of your wallet.
Payout options
Chowdeck Vendor Wallet (default)
Settlements are credited to your Chowdeck vendor wallet as soon as an order is completed. From there, you can withdraw to any bank account instantly, at any time — a 1% fee applies, capped at ₦3,000 per withdrawal, no matter how large the amount.
Bank Account
Settlements are paid directly to your registered bank account on the next business day after the order is completed. Payouts are processed Monday to Saturday — orders completed on a Saturday or Sunday are paid out on Monday. There's no fee for this option.
Pending balance vs. available balance (Wallet)
If the Wallet is your payout preference, all of that day's sales are credited to your pending balance first, not your available balance.
Pending balance is the amount from orders completed within the day. It isn't available for withdrawal yet and moves automatically to your available balance by the next day.
Available balance can be withdrawn to your bank account at no extra cost.
Withdrawing from your pending balance before it moves to available balance is possible, but attracts the 1% instant withdrawal fee (capped at ₦3,000).
How to check your payout status
You can view your payout history and status at any time:
Log in to your Chowdeck vendor dashboard.
Select the outlet you want to check from the dropdown at the top of the page.
Go to Payouts in the side navigation.
Here you'll see each payout's amount, date, and status, and can filter by status or date range to export the data you need.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long does a payout normally take?
By default, you're on Chowdeck Wallet. Sales are credited to your wallet as soon as an order is completed, but they sit in your pending balance until the next day, when they move to your available balance. You can withdraw from either — available balance withdrawals are free, while pending balance withdrawals attract the 1% instant fee (capped at ₦3,000). If you've switched to Bank Account payouts, settlements are paid the next business day after your order is completed (T+1).
Does the withdrawal fee apply to all payouts?
No. The 1% fee (capped at ₦3,000) only applies to instant withdrawals from your Chowdeck Wallet.
Can I change my payout preference at any time?
Yes. You can switch from Bank Account to Chowdeck Wallet at any time from your vendor dashboard, with no restrictions.
Do payouts get processed on weekends or public holidays?
Payouts are processed Monday to Saturday. Orders completed on a Saturday or Sunday are paid out on the following Monday, and a public holiday may push this out further.
